07/31/08
We now have Half-Runners! Peppers will open Monday, August 4th. They can be picked on Mondays, Wednesdays, and SATURDAYS only. This allows us time to weed or water the fields as necessary.

07/23/08
Green Beans are now ready.. except for 1/2 runners which should be ready the end of next week and are plentiful, just young. Our peppers may start the first of August...please call. Market has transparent apples and Marietta tomatoes, Hartville produce, so much more.

Bean Update: the beans will be later this year due to the cool spring, but they will be ready SOON! The Blue Lake have small beans on them and it looks that the first and second plantings might come together. We will have new plantings ALL summer until the second frost.

Strawberries and peas are still available, but will be ending soon. Red Raspberries are ripening:call for current field conditions. $3.00/lb U-pick, $4.00/pt picked. Beans are blooming and should be ready in about three weeks.

We still have Strawberries both to pick and already picked. The Peas are still available, though the Sugar Snaps may not be next week. We opened a new field of Green Arrow and they are abundant. Remember, customer's peas are shelled free, however we do need at least 15 lbs for the sheller to work properly.

Portage County is celebrating its 200 yr anniversary with Farm Tours June 22. We will be open 12-4 THIS Sunday only. You can get answers to freezing and canning questions, drive our upcoming fields, and see equipment used for planting. Strawberries will be open THIS Sunday only, during tour hours.

Strawberries are abundant. Peas are still plentiful and we shell customer's peas for free.

Strawberries Fields open Mon-Sat. weather permitting. Peas,also open for both Regular & Sugar Snap! Order ahead and we will pick for you.

Strawberries are ripening with the heat and we should start picking next week. Please call Sunday or Monday. Peas have pods, but are still a week away. Call for most current field info.

The Peas are blooming. The Strawberries have medium sized green berries. They need sunshine! We should have both around June 10th, but please call first.

The strawberries have small green berries and should be ready early June. Peas, both sugar snap and regular, look good and should be ready with the strawberries. Beans and sweet corn have been planted. Red Raspberries are starting to bud.

05/10/08
Peas are up and should be ready mid-June. Strawberries are starting to show through the straw and are on target for early June. Red Raspberries are leafing out and on schedule. Ask about fresh, hand-snapped Asparagus!

We have started our 2008 season by planting in the greenhouses: Cabbage, Broccoli, Onions, Peppers, Eggplant, and Tomatoes. The cabbage is already up!

The cold temperatures of mid-January have ended the collards. We will be closed till we open in June for Strawberries which are currently tucked in under a blanket of straw.

The Collards are still fairly good picking, but dress warmly!Our hours are 10-4PM as it gets dark earlier now that we are off daylight savings time. Bags are available on the house porch, $7.00/each.
